I found my safe and validating space...

I recommend Neurodiverging now because it has substantially improved my quality of life and that of my family.

Danielle has helped me through the darkest and most challenging point of my adult life yet and she has done so with compassion, creating a safe and validating space for me to grow in.

- Stev Turns, Past Client

You know her. Or him. Or whatever your inner critic sounds like in your head.

She's the one keeping score. The one who notices the second you drop the ball, who never quite lets you feel like you did enough, who somehow makes "trying hard" and "being critical of yourself" feel like the same thing

Maybe you've never even called her critical. You've just called yourself driven. Or a perfectionist. Or someone who's "hard on themselves, but only because it works."

Here's the thing: she's not there to make you miserable. She's there to keep you safe.

She's built out of every external experience you've ever had: your family, your school, your religious background if you have one, the workplaces and relationships that taught you what happens when you're not "on."

She scans constantly for anything that could go wrong, because somewhere along the way, that felt like the only way to stay loved, stay connected, stay safe.

And if you're neurodivergent, there's an extra layer under most of that scanning: the pressure to be more neurotypical, more able, more "normal":

๐Ÿ”ธ to notice every pattern

๐Ÿ”ธ to mask every difference

๐Ÿ”ธ to perform ease you don't feel

That internalized ableism doesn't just criticize what you do. It criticizes who you are.

This weekend is about learning to work with that voice instead of being at war with her.

What the Inner Critic Reset Is

(And Why You Want to Be There)

The Inner Critic Reset is a two-day creative, reflective virtual retreat.

It's built and facilitated with careful attention so that you walk away not just understanding your inner critic, but knowing exactly what to do the next time she shows up.

This isn't information you'll sit with and not know how to use. It's built so you can go do things with it.

Day One: Foundations

We dive right in by getting to know your inner critic (the good, the bad, the ugly!)

Through guided exercises (some writing, some art, no talent required, trust me, when you see mine you'll laugh yourself silly...) you'll identify:

๐Ÿ”ธ what she sounds like

๐Ÿ”ธ what she's protecting you from

๐Ÿ”ธ where she came from

You'll also start meeting the other part of you: your leader self. This part is sometimes quieter, but no less real. It's the part that says there's a way to do this, and I'll figure it out, instead of shutting every door before you've tried the handle.

Day Two: Ableism, Masking, and the Reset

We come into the Day 2 ready to go deeper into how internalized ableism and masking shape the way your critic operates...

....and then we build the tool.

The true Inner Critic Reset is a simple process you can use in under a minute, designed to interrupt the spiral, activate your parasympathetic nervous system, and bring your leader self back online. You'll practice it live, in real time, with support ... not just read about it and hope you remember it later <rolls eyes>

What People Walk Away With

I'll tell you this: it's not a personality quiz, or another framework you nod along to and forget by Tuesday (blargh)...

These are real, practiced tools:

๐Ÿ”ธ A clear, personal picture of what your inner critic is protecting you from, and what she's not

๐Ÿ”ธ A working relationship with your leader self, the part of you that can access confidence, curiosity, and hope even when the critic is loud

๐Ÿ”ธ A reset process you've physically practiced, not just read. That means it's available to your body, not just your brain, when you need it

๐Ÿ”ธ A felt sense of this is a universal experience. You are not the lone broken one dealing with this, and everyone in that room is carrying their own version of the same weight

A. put it simply afterward: this weekend far exceeded what they expected going in

G. described walking away with a sense of doors they hadn't realized were still open, of being able to hold their inner critic at a manageable size instead of being swallowed by her, and of finally understanding why the tools they'd learned before never seemed to stick without support around them

The Inner Critic Reset

This is for you if:

๐Ÿ”ธ You're a neurodivergent adult who is tired of the internal narration that says you're not doing enough, being enough, or trying hard enough

๐Ÿ”ธ You've noticed that what looks like "high standards" might actually be internalized ableism wearing a nicer outfit

๐Ÿ”ธ You've tried tools and frameworks before, and they worked for about a week, and then real life happened

๐Ÿ”ธ You want to understand why your inner critic does what it does, not just be told to "silence" her

๐Ÿ”ธ You're ready to practice something in community, with real people, instead of doing it alone in a workbook

How We Work

This is intentionally a small group: a retreat, not a webinar.

You'll be seen, and you'll see others.

Cameras optional, participation in whatever form works for your body and brain that day.

Breaks are built in generously.

You're welcome to eat, move, step away to help a kid, or just exist as a human throughout.

This is a room built for neurodivergent nervous systems, not against them.

The Details

I am running 2 groups this season. You may choose whichever is the better fit for your schedule, or I can place you if you prefer.

The options are:

November 6 & 7 ๐Ÿ”ธ 4PM-9PM Mountain Time

OR November 7 & 8 ๐Ÿ”ธ 10AM-3PM Mountain Time

When you apply, I will review your application get in touch. We'll have a brief chat over email (or your preferred communication method, like Zoom, Voxer, or Discord).

Together, we'll make sure this is a good fit for your needs and capacity, get all your questions answered, and decide which group is ideal.

What's the Investment?

The cost for the Inner Critic Reset creative retreat (10 hours over 2 days) is $599 USD.

โœจ If you're like, "Yes, absolutely, this is 100% what I need, let me in Danielle!" please apply below!

โœจ If you know that $599 is not within your comfortable capacity right now, that's fine and I totally understand - I'll catch you next time!

โœจ If seeing the price caused a negative emotional reaction of any kind, but you're interested in the program and you do have the financial capacity to pay it comfortably, can we chat?

I don't want to talk you into anything you're not into. My job here is just to help you figure out if investing in this program will take you in the right direction for you.

To help, I've written some reflection questions that I hope will help you see your needs and priorities more clearly, and get a better understanding about whether this is a thing you want to do right now. Feel free to copy paste them into a doc and take some time to think:

๐Ÿ”ธ Do you already own tools for this (books, past therapy, other workshops) that you know about but don't actually reach for when you need them?

๐Ÿ”ธ Have you noticed myself masking or over-explaining to seem more capable, more together, or more "normal" than you feel?

๐Ÿ”ธ Do you do better with information you can read alone, or with something you practice live, in real time, with other people?

๐Ÿ”ธ Are you looking for a quick fix, or are you willing to sit with something that works slowly, in layers?

๐Ÿ”ธ What does it currently cost you (in energy, time, or missed opportunities) to keep managing this critic on your own?

๐Ÿ”ธIf this works the way it's designed to, what would that be worth to you over the next year?

๐Ÿ”ธIs this the season to invest in inner work, or are you already stretched too thin to receive it well?

If you think this might be a path you want to explore, please apply. We'll talk together before you commit to anything, and make sure it's a good place for you to be right now.

Your inner critic isn't going anywhere. But how much power she has over your next year? That part is still up to you.

What more incredible clients have said...

For the first time, she does not feel alone.

My daughter has had an amazingly positive experience with her group ... For the first time in her adult she does not feel alone.

I wish I had found Danielle and Neurodiverging earlier but am profoundly glad I finally did.

I finally found a group that GETS it!

They GET IT. They totally GET how being neurodivergent feels and are willing to take things at your pace and level of functioning.

I love showing up and handing them my scrambled up, criss-crossed brain, and they help me smooth things out. I'm also learning how to be more patient and flexible with myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH Y'ALL.

Have a question? Here are some common ones with answers.

When and where is this happening?

The retreat is 5 hours a day for 2 days. We hold our meeting on Zoom. You may choose from one of these two groups:

- November 6 & 7 ๐Ÿ”ธ 4PM-9PM Mountain Time

- OR November 7 & 8 ๐Ÿ”ธ 10AM-3PM Mountain Time

Can I attend one group one day and a different group another day?

No. Although I understand how complicated all of our schedules are, this is a vulnerable space in which we are going deep together. In order for everyone to feel comfortable, get to know each other, and be able to share, groups must be the same throughout the entire retreat.

How are the days scheduled? When are the breaks?

My goal is to keep us on the following rough schedule:

Workblock 1: 90 minutes

Break: 30 minutes

Workblock 2: 90 minutes

Break: 30 minutes

Closing Hour

Sometimes this schedule will vary slightly because we are 6-8 humans in a room together. Please know that you are welcome to take rests, eat, drink, take a break etc. at any time throughout the retreat. Your wellbeing is paramount.

Will the sessions be recorded if I can't make it live?

Each day will include teaching, group work, individual work, and debriefing together. The full sessions will be recorded and made available to group members through our password-protected group portal after the program is complete.

Do you call on participants directly, or require a certain kind of participation?

I will ask you to turn on your camera at least briefly at the beginning of each day and when we return from breaks to make sure you're still you (for the safety of the group), but otherwise you may choose how much you interact. That said, ideal participants will be ready to engage, talk or type, and share together so that everyone gets the most out of the work we're doing. We are tired and imperfect sometimes, and that's okay; show up anyway to do the thing.

How big is each group?

Historically, groups are 6-8 people each. I cap enrollment at 10. It's important to me that each person has the time and space to make real progress during this retreat, so that what I prioritize and hold to.

I will continue to add to this as I talk to more of you. If you have a question, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I promise someone else has the same question, so you're helping everyone by getting in touch ๐Ÿ˜บ
